What’s the problem? Design is about creating solutions for meaningful problems. Like the GO FlyEase Nike shoes that use a handsfree design for different abilities. Not only are these shoes rad, but solve a problem for someone with little fine motor abilities. Digging deeper into problems allows me to understand the user's frustration.
Make it happen
Once I have a finalized design, it’s time to go to market. This means incorporating branding throughout imagery, social posts, video, photography, sales decks and much more. Marketing materials are just as important as the product itself. Even the best product suffers to sell without good marketing.

I have a 70:30 approach to research. 70% of my information should come from talking to and watching people. I design for complicated humans and they should be my most trusted source of information. 30% of my research is from articles, books, and data. The quantitive data should back up what people reveal to me.
On repeat
After sketching out a lot of ideas, I’ll consult with my team and pick out the best two or three. Those will go into prototyping. Once I have higher fidelity prototypes I’ll consult with my audience by watching them use the product, interact with the brand, take video, and ask questions. Then we’re back to the drawing board to improve.
